If you were to ask a dozen people what meditation is, you’d probably get a dozen different answers. While everyone has their own fundamental understanding of it, most people’s personal descriptions are a little fuzzy and kind of vague.

Meditation has been defined as giving your whole and complete attention to one object, thought, feelings or movement. It has also been described as focusing awareness on the present moment. By clarifying our understanding of it, we can begin to better understand how meditation can help us and benefit us in our daily lives.
